Finally Post: The Essay

Introduction:

In this essay I will talk about my academic year, my whole experience in this 2009. I will describe and tell you all the things that I learned, my classes, my different works and those which I prefered, the teachers and all about the university time.
Also I would like to mention some social aspects, the people who I met, my relationship with my classmates, the music that I discovered and listened through this year, etc.. alfter all, those kind of things are in every experience and show the context in a better way.
Finally I will make a general judgment about this year.

Body:

I began this academic year with a lot of expectations. After a long time traveling in the summer, I came back full of energy and eager to start creating. I was lucky because all the classes that I chose were really interesting and pleasant.

Lets see… I chose painting as my specialty, in Jorge Gaete’s workshop. I decided by this because it is the freest one. Only in this workshop you can design your own model, the teacher gives you the principal problems to solve, but every work is different and personal because you imagine your own solution. This is what I love of this class.
One of my favourite subjects is drawing. When I enter in this classroom, I put myself the headphones and I begin to draw, it feels incredibly relaxing. We have human models in every class, it is the only workshop with that system and I like it so much.
The silkscreen printing is my technique and technology, this subject takes a lot of time, but the results are beautiful and interesting.

Those are my principal subjects, I was traveling a month ago so when I came back I was really behind with my works, but now I’m fine. The classes finish this Friday, but after that, the exams come.

In general, I like everything that I do in the university. All the works makes me learn something different, I have a lot of friends in different workshops and they show me other kind of techniques. I feel very glad in this place.

Conclusion:

I think this year was great. Everybody in here loves the faculty, loves creating and loves the art. That makes me really happy and comfortable, I like very much to wake up and go to the university.
Also this year I started to play in a new band, we are great friends. We have played three times in this campus and I love that. This relaxes to me so much and gives me an extra energy, very good for my performance in the career.

I thing this year was very colourful, I knew a huge number of people, places, masterpieces, histories, rythms, chords, artists, etc.. and that is what I pretend and I love.

Political Stuff

Well, the presidential elections are a subject that concerns all of us, without mattering if they pleasent us or not. I will not vote this time because I didn’t registrate myself, I care about the political subjects, but I´m not very sure if want to vote forever and I don´t really like any of the candidates who are postulating to be the president.
If I had to vote, I will decide for the candidate who less bother me.

I always imagine beautifull solutions for the human society, I think that all of us do it, but also everybody thinks that those ideas are just dreams, that we are in an inamovible system, this is the reality, if you like it.. good, if you don´t… I’m sorry, bad luck.. and that is the problem!!.
I’m sure that if I ask to anybody in this planet: “Hey, how are you? Do you think that is everything all right in the world? Do you think that the humanity is going very well?”, nobody will answer “yes, there is no problem”.
Most people is concient of the problems that exist… so what? Are we condemned to live without complains? They don’t say it that way, but deep inside we know it. We know the problems, we imagine solutions, we think they are imposible to execute.. so better go to watch some TV, it is so much easyer.

Through the history, it has always been necesary to touch the ground to make explotion. When the things are just going bad, is not a big deal… Just when the situation is unbearable, the people responds.
Perhaps we are going in a new highway direct to hit, and I hope so. I can’t imagine this reality increasing forever. People living like robots without questions neather annoyances.
It would be so sad. I hope something will activate our minds, something that make all of us to say “Enaugh!”. I hope the policy melts and be bourn again, with a different brain.
That they I will vote!, jajaja it´s a joke. I believe that meanwhile I will be watching TV, that’s another joke. What I really believe is that I can contribuye with conversations, to my friends, to my parents, to the first person who makes contact to me the saturday night in the street … to anybody who cares to listen and think.

The Climate Change

I found this notice and I think it's very interesting, currently everybody has questions about the strange behavior of the weather and maybe this could explain a lot of those doubts.

The temperatures in the earth have changed in a several way these last years. The investigations of many scientist groups found that the industrial revolution has caused an increase of the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, damaging the ozone layer, which is the filter of the sunbeam. This increase is to big to blame natural causes, so human are the main suspect. The burning of fossils fuels like oil and coal produce the greenhouse effect, this emissions heat up the earth much more quickly causing disorders on the climate and in many environments.
The experts have built computers to detect the possible climate change in the future. This models predict that if emissions continue to rise at the present rate, average temperatures will most likely increase by 4C by 2100.

Scientist says that the only way of attack global warming is reducing greenhouse gas emissions. So they create a corporation where each country is committed to reduce carbon dioxide and start working with renewable energy such as windmills, geothermal and solar panels.


I think this is an extremely important subject. We can make an effort and contribute with simple acts like turn off the lights when we don't use them and the tipical things that everybody knows but a minority people cares.

Art Faculty

Well, I think that my faculty is a very nice place. I love studying here, I like the old construction, the classrooms and specialy the yard. In every moment I feel pleasent being here. You can work and make all kind of things because the different workshops have all the necessary equipment. You can walk around all the faculty, you can see and learn a lot of techniques by visiting your friend's workshops. Even you can use devices from another class to make a more interesting work, you can mix techniques.

The people in here are very pleasent too, everyone is relax; most of them are very sociable.
In the yard you can take a rest when you want to; is a very quiet space, you can even get sleep for a while.
Also there are partys in the yard and is a very good place to meet other students.
This faculty is very small and I love that. It is far from all the others in the campus. Here everybody knows each other. We never have to scape from the tear gas bombs or that kind of problems.

Some persons say that the infrastructure is very old, but I think they are just worry about the faculty's look. Every workshop works very well and I think that is what we must care about.
Well, that is what I thing about this comfortable place. I believe is a space I will never forget.

A Yellow Country

When the people ask me what country I would like to visit, I have always said Egipt. I've never really thought why, I just feel atract to the image that I have in my mind of this country. The idea to know a culture so different than ours, and also one of the oldest in the earth is another reason to get there. The view of this land must be amazing, being there looking right in the middle of the sea of sand, the pyramids and all the other constructions, it has to be sparkling.

I also imagine the small villages, people with turbans and the rusty things. Obviously I know that Egipt is a country with money, universitys and McDonalds. I know there are citys like any other country, but if I go there I would like to be in the historic places, the oldest villages, small towns with humble people, ochre's houses made of mud....... yellow views.

Polansky Case

I think the notice about Roman Polansky is very interesting, because he is a great movie maker who always made beautiful movies about life and society. He also won many awards in different places around the world. Recently Swiss court says Roman Polanski must stay in jail over fear. All this situation exist because he rapped young girls time ago. The director faces possible extradition to the U.S for having sex with a 13 year old girl in 1977.

This dramatical situation is very sad for every guy who loves arts and cinema, one of the most creative director is in jail and can't go away. Specially for me is not to sad, because I don’t really like this man.
By the way this notice is something that make me feel strange, because now I have a different point of view about some artists. Sometimes I think about them, about their unreal world, about their behaviors and I can't really understand the reason why they do that kind of things in the real life, when in this particulary case, he could create so many beautiful things at the screen.

Deep inside for me, this situation is a lost for the artistic scene, because this director is a huge talent who at least could communicate film passion.
I really appreciate the work of this man, movies like “The Pianist” can’t be made by whatever guy, but I’m agree to know that he is in jail, paying for his acts.

Topics. 2nd Semester

Hi everyone, I hope you have missed me, I'm back. :)
Well.. if you ask me for the different things that we could write about and discuss, I would suggest personal interests, hobbys, passions, etc.
For example: your favourite movie.. or your favourites, some books that has given you nice and important moments, reflections. Maybe someone practice a sport and would like to talk about this. The music also, I think is very very important for everyone.
The music is always with us and it always looks at you with the same eyes, regardless of our mood.
We could analyse different songs with interesting letters, each one could suggest one and explain why this is important.
Anyway... this is what I imagine right in this moment.. but they are just examples. The point is that I think it is important and funny to talk about the things that we love, things that we can't put away in daily life.
Well.. this is my opinion, maybe is too late.. jaja. C-ya!
